Travelers need a visa to visit Egypt for Business or Tourism. A paper or embassy visa is the only visa available for travelers visiting Egypt. The visa is typically a stamp or sticker added to the passport. Travelers must obtain this visa from a local embassy, consulate or visa center before travelling. Effective October 1st, 2023, Canadian passport holders will no longer be able to obtain an eVisa or a Visa on arrival in Egypt. Electronic visas issued before October 1st, 2023, will remain valid until their expiry date. Please contact us for further details.
- Completed visa application form
- Valid signed passport with a minimum of 6 months validity after the date of entry into Egypt
- 2 recent passport photos
- Proof of travel arrangements, such as flight tickets or itinerary
- Proof of accommodation in Egypt, such as hotel reservations or residency
- Original passport sent with all documents listed above
